Synera in action: Modal Analysis

A fundamental method for calculating the natural frequencies of your system and vibration behavior.

How often does it happen that you have to transfer your model from CAD into an eigenfrequency analysis in FEM software? And does the process repeat itself again in case of a design change? In Synera (formerly known as ELISE) there is no more such switching between different software tools! The following video shows the modal analysis being performed together with the geometry in one workflow. This allows the FEM analysis to be performed at any stage of part creation and enables quick improvements directly at any point!

his parametric workflow shows how the eigenfrequency values of a part are calculated in Synera. The solid geometry that is analyzed can be exchanged with just one click and the entire algorithm runs through automatically and outputs the eigenfrequency values for the new part. 100% automated!

In the next example, a 1D beam FEM model is built, analyzed and the different natural frequencies are checked. The whole workflow is completely independent from the geometry model, so you can change the position of the bolts and the natural frequencies will be recalculated automatically.

Have you ever worried about a resonance disaster when visiting the Eifel Tower? With Synera, you can be extra safe and perform an on-site modal analysis in just seconds! Contact us to test Synera and learn more about algorithm-based modeling.
