Synera x NASA Challenge
Multiphysics optical instrument design problem
In this new edition of the Synera Education Challenge, we’re partnering with NASA to offer students a unique learning experience. Participants will tackle a real-world engineering problem inspired by NASA: designing a lightweight structure to save valuable weight during launch. The challenge will begin with an introductory event where the organising team and our industry partner will be presented, along with detailed guidance and resources. Students will then follow a dedicated Synera learning path, form teams and collaboratively develop innovative solutions using Synera’s low-code visual programming platform. The programme offers hands-on experience in generative design, multiphysics simulation and design optimisation, and is flexible in timing and designed to simulate real-world engineering workflows. It will help you build practical skills and boost your professional network.

The Education Challenge takes approximately three months.
Yes, we can help you with talking to your professor / institute to include this in your modules and thereby account for ECTS.
You only need a valid student email address and a personal PC / Laptop.
Students initially start by working alone during the Onboarding phase and then have the chance to form teams for the Challenge phase.
During the challenge, students receive support from various sources, including the Education Program team members, the Academy resources available in Synera, and the Community Forum.
Upon completing the challenge, you will have the opportunity to receive assistance in getting matched with one of our customers for student or career opportunities, and engage with a diverse community of engineering students from around the world. You’ll also get free access to Synera for the rest of the year.
