The gearbox design, which plays a key role in powertrain as it interacts with various interfaces, consists of many manual tasks: iterative dimensioning of gear ratios and geometries, shaft-hub connection and its FEM validation. A workflow was created with the Synera platform that fully automates all design steps and runs iterations to find the optimal design.
