Introducing Inkbit CarPack

Achieve faster, smarter, ISO-compliant cargo volume estimation

Inkbit’s CarPack: 10x Faster Vehicle Cargo Volume Estimation

For automotive OEMs, measuring the vehicle cargo volume is a challenging problem. Standards such as ISO and DIN stipulate cargo volume as the number of standard 1-liter blocks that can be “packed” into the trunk enclosure without collisions.

That’s why CAD volume, while easy to compute, means little unless you can pack the trunk efficiently following the relevant standards. And when your advertised capacity depends on these highly regulated packing results, the quality and time it takes to simulate that packing becomes critical to your competitiveness.

Inkbit’s CarPack solves this, automatically calculating how much cubic payload can be practically utilized inside a defined CAD trunk space. The result: more marketable capacity numbers in a fraction of the time.

Based on Technology Developed in Collaboration with MIT
The Scalable Spectral Packing (SSP) technology algorithm was originally developed in collaboration with MIT and transforms packing into a high-speed, high-density operation:

  • 3–5% more density than conventional cargo volume estimation tools
  • 10–20x faster execution on typical automotive trunk geometries
  • Compliant with ISO 3832 and DIN 70020 automotive standards

Ready for Automation Workflows

Inkbit’s CarPack integrates seamlessly into Synera’s visual workflow environment. Unlike traditional tools that require heavy compute infrastructure, CarPack runs locally on standard engineering laptops or workstations. That means no server dependencies, no IT delays, and instant iteration at your desk.

The Inkbit CarPack add-in is now live in the Synera Marketplace.
Run your next cargo volume evaluation and experience the results for yourself.
