Unlock Real-World Engineering with the Synera Education Challenge
We are thrilled to announce our collaboration with NASA on the Multiphysics Design Challenge. A global leader in space exploration and aeronautics, NASA has long been at the forefront of scientific innovation. In this challenge, students will explore a design optimisation problem based on a real-world design task inspired by NASA. The focus will be on developing a lightweight structure that can be compacted for launch and expanded to full functionality once deployed in space.
What to Expect from the Challenge
Participants in the Synera x NASA Education Challenge will model and simulate a Multiphysics system using Synera’s visual low-code platform, focusing on optimizing a lightweight structural design while addressing complex engineering constraints. The challenge will kick off with an introductory event featuring the organizing team and our industry partner, who will present the full details of the challenge along with an overview of the resources available to students.
Participants will then follow a dedicated learning path to build essential skills in Synera. Once prepared, they will form teams to collaboratively tackle the challenge. Designed to be time-flexible program it allows students to develop innovative, technically robust solutions to the NASA-inspired problem statement. Throughout the experience, participants will gain hands-on knowledge in generative design, design optimization, and the application of cutting-edge industry tools, all within a collaborative, project-based environment that mirrors real-world engineering practices.
About the Synera Education Program
The Education Program is an initiative designed primarily for students and educators, offering hands-on experience with a visual programming engineering platform through a free license and real-world challenges.
The core pillars of the Education Program include the Education Challenge/Hackathon, support for academic projects and theses, backing for Formula Student Teams, and assistance for educators through the development of learning modules designed to enhance the student learning experience. With a continually updated curriculum and interactive learning experiences, students gain valuable industry insights, build practical skills, and develop a strong professional network giving them a significant head start in their engineering careers.
