Introducing Polarion Add-In for Synera

Extend the Siemens ecosystem with Synera workflows using the add-in for Polarion® REQUIREMENTS™.

Close the gap between requirements and execution

Engineering speed is often constrained by how long it takes to translate requirements into action.

For many organizations, Polarion is the single source of truth for requirements. It holds project constraints, part specifications, validation criteria, and change histories. Yet even when requirements are well managed, they often remain disconnected from the workflows that actually implement them. Engineers still copy, interpret, and re-enter information before anything can move forward.

The new Polarion Add-In for Synera closes this gap.

With this add-in, Synera workflows can now extract project and part requirements directly from Polarion and use them as structured inputs for automation.

This connection is not a workaround or export pipeline. It is a direct integration designed for production use. The add-in integrates with standard Polarion authentication, ensuring that only users with the appropriate permissions can access the right information. Governance, traceability, and access control remain fully aligned with how Polarion is already used inside the organization.

For Synera creators, this enables a new class of workflows. You can build automation that reacts to requirements exactly as they are defined in the system of record. Changes in Polarion no longer require manual synchronization or re-interpretation. The workflow stays connected to the source of truth by design.

For Synera users, the benefit is speed with confidence. Engineers no longer spend time verifying whether requirements are up to date or correctly transferred. They can focus on execution, knowing that workflows are driven by reliable data.

Unify Polarion, NX, Solid Edge, and SimCenter in One Platform - Part of Synera’s Growing Siemens Integration

Strategically, this release is more than a single integration. It extends Synera’s technology partnership with Siemens, which already includes Siemens NX, Solid Edge, and SimCenter Nastran. With Polarion now part of the ecosystem, Synera spans a broader portion of the engineering lifecycle, from requirements definition to design, simulation, and automation.

Andrew Sartorelli, Head of Product at Synera, sees this as a natural step forward: “Connecting workflows directly to Polarion is a logical extension of what we’re building for agentic engineering,” said Sartorelli. “When requirements flow straight from the system of record into execution, teams move faster and AI has access to key data pipelines. It reduces the overhead around preparation and helps engineers focus on the work that gives their products a competitive edge.”

The Polarion Add-In is especially impactful in environments where requirements evolve, versions branch, or validation criteria tighten. By keeping workflows anchored to Polarion, engineering automation becomes more resilient to change rather than less efficient.

This integration reinforces a simple idea. Engineering workflows should not start with copying information from one system to another. They should start a trusted automation foundation, ready to scale with the possibilities of agentic AI.
